Performance NotesThe concert was the Hall's first fundraising event to assist in its ongoing development project, rasing money for reglazing the roof's dome, reinstating the decorative upper auditorium coving, fine-tuning the acoustics by repositioning the 'mushrooms' closer together and redecorating the Gallery.

The event was broadcast on Classic FM as its highlight of National Orchestra Week on 16 March 2001.
