Performance Notes"The Duke of Kent was present last night at the Albert Hall at a gathering in celebration of the twenty-first anniversary of the National Savings Movement at which Lord Mottistone, who presided, announced that the King had given the movement the privilege of claiming him as its patron.
More than 7,000 voluntary workers in the movement, representing every part of the country from the Orkneys to Land's End, were in the hall. A fanfare by State trumpeters of the Royal Horse Guards heralded the entry of the Duke of Kent who received an enthusiastic welcome."
