NME artist David Kemp designed special crowns for the give Poll Winners made of gilt metal with each of the points in the form of a quaver, and five bands (representing a mucial stave) round the base. The crowns rested on a velvet, tasslled cushion mounted on a wooden base with an inscription.
Film stars Scott Brady and MaryCastle presented awards as they wer ein the UK to film 'Three Steps to the Gallows'.
