Performance NotesThe Royal party were attended by the Countess of Spencer and Major Thomas Harvey.

This was the first concert in 10 years that Jascha Heifetz had given in Great Britain.

The Queen was received by Baroness Ravensdale, chair of the NAGC and MC Appeal Committee and joint chair of the concert committee. On entering the Queen was presented witha bouquet of roses by Ethel Cuddy, a club members from the St Just youth club, Cornwall. Princess Margaret received a bouquet from Brian Roberts, 17, a member of the Wellington College Mission Boys' Club, Walworth, London. He had jsut completed his first film, 'Just William' and was set to play in 'Boy David' at the Scale Theatre, at which Princess Maragret consented to be present.
Seated in the Royal Box were the American Ambassador, Mr Douglas and his daughter Miss Charmian Douglas, Viscount and Viscountess Camrose, Mrs Walter Elliot, Baroness Ravensdale and Lord Aberdare. Adter the interval the Hon. David Bowes-Lyon, the Queen's brother joined the party. In the interval Mr John Kotz, Mr Gaynor Melhuish, Mr and Mrs Heifetz, Sir Malcolm Sargentm Mr Oscar Lampe, Miss H Harford and Mr J Aytoun Ellis were presented to the Queen.
