Radio broadcast to the Hall from Marconi House
Performance NotesThis was the first occasion of a radio broadcast being listened to at a concert at the Hall.

Madam Payling commenced the concert by performing at the Hall, then she travelled to Marconi House ( 335 Strand, London) where she sang; this was broadcast back to the Hall, where the piano accompanist was playing on the stage. The audience listened via three large Amplion loudspeakers arranged in the organ loft.
