At the Eccentric Club Entertaiment to some thousands of the wounded at the Albert Hall yesterday afternoon, Mr Walter de Frece, the chairman of the executive committee, announced that he had recieved a message from Mr George Barnes MP, a member of the War Cabinet, who said that he had just been informed by Mr Lloyd George that he had agreed to suggest the granting of a gratuity to every discharged sailor and soldier in the country now that the war was finished."
