Performance NotesThe Queen and His Royal Highness were received by the Lord Mayor of Westminster, Councillor Thomas Whipham, the President of the Royal Albert Hall, Sir Kirby Laing, the RSPB Chairman, Viscount Blakenham, and RSPB Director, Mr Ian Prestt.

The Duchess of Grafton, Sir William Hesletine and Lieutenant-Colonel Blair Stewart Wilson were in attendance.

Original photograph of the event held by Mirrorpix. Richard Young was house photographer for the night and recalled that Joan Collins and HM The Queen found they had much in common and ended up talking at length in the Royal Retiring Room.
