Performance Notes | This event raised well over £10,000 for the Artists' Benevolent Fund. Over 10,000 theatrical posters were used the decorate the Hall and limelight was used to shine on the dancers. A feature of the evening was the selling of ices on the dance floor by Mr Alfred Lester, from a genuine barrow. It was attended by Mr Harry Gordon Selfridge. (The Times, 2 December 1920)
President of the Variety Artists' Benevolent Fund was Mr James W Tate. The Brinsworth Home was founded by Mr Joe Elvin in Twickenham as a home for variety artists in need of help.
Organised by Miss Maragaret Chute. The orchestra was situated in the middle of the dance floor. A proscenium arch framing theatre posters was placed on the stage where the orchestra is usually situated. (The Daily Telegraph, 2 December 1920)
