BiographyFounded in 1881, in Portland, Maine, USA. It was originally called the Young People’s Society for Christian Endeavour and later shortened to Christian Endeavour. Besides training of young people to serve Christ within their churches, the CE was also involved in temperance movements in the US and Britain. Today, the CE is an International Christian movement.

Christian Endeavour (CE) is a non-denominational youth-based movement dedicated to serve Christ. CE is structured according to age-group with the main emphasis on youth. These are Junior CE (8 to 13 year olds), Young People’s Christian Endeavour (YPCE for 13 to 18 year olds), Young Adults (19 to 35) and Seniors (those over 35 who wish to continue their association with CE). CE members are known as ‘Endeavourers’ and their motto is ‘For Christ and the Church’. CE also holds annual conventions for which special high-quality badges have been issued, like those pictured above.
