Abby Bowen began learning the viola at aged 6 1/2 and for the past three years has studied with renowned UK violist Sarah Jane Bradley. Abby attends the Royal College of Music Junior Department where she is principal viola for the symphony orchestra, chamber orchestra as well as participating in several chamber groups. Abby is also a principal player in the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, having been a member of the orchestra since 2011. Abby has performed widely as a chamber musician, often representing the Royal College of Music Junior Department, including several performances for HRH Prince Charles and the Queen’s coronation festival at Buckingham Palace with an ensemble from the National Youth Orchestra.
