Born and raised in Hudson, Quebec, Stephanie completed her B.Mus at McGill University in Montreal. In 1998 she moved to London, England to study at the Royal Academy of Music where she was awarded the Queen's Commendation for Excellence in her final year, and in 2001 she was the winner of the prestigious Kathleen Ferrier Award. Following graduation from the RAM Stephanie was offered a position on the Young Artists Programme at the English National Opera in London where she later became a Company Principal.
