The English bass, Alan Ewing, has made over forty recordings, ranging from a complete Monteverdi Madrigal Cycle to Les Troyens for Sir Colin Davis, and including, most notably Polyphemus in Acis and Galatea, Osmin in Die Entführung aus dem Serail, and Achilla in Giulio Cesare, rôles which have taken him to Munich, Paris, Berlin, Madrid and Vienna with William Christie and Marc Minkowski.
