R. Alun Evans, a native of Llanbrynmair, started his ministry at Seion, Llandysul in 1961, but it better known throughout Wales as a TV presenter and producer. He retired from broadcasting in 1996 as Head of the BBC in Bangor. In 2001, he returned to pastoral ministry at Bethel, Caerphilly. In 2008, Bethlehem, Gwaelod-y-garth, joined the pastorate.
