Sportsperson; Boxer (Middleweight) Wilbert McClure (born 29 October 1938) is an American middleweight boxer. McClure won a gold medal at the 1960 Olympics and was a fellow team member of Muhammad Ali (then Cassius Clay). McClure earned degrees in literature and philosophy in 1961 from the University of Toledo and a doctorate in psychology from Wayne State University in Detroit in 1973. He later became a Massachusetts State Boxing Commissioner.
