Walburga Wegner (born 25 August, Cologne, Germany - 23 February 1993, Cologne, Germany) was a German opera singer. She performed on leading German and international stages, from the Cologne Opera House to La Scala in Milan, Grand Opéra Paris, Covent Garden and the Metropolitan Opera in New York. In addition, she was a successful song and oratorio singer and as a radio soloist. She began as a mezzo-contralto but moved to the soprano and after the Second World War had a long career as a dramatic soprano.
