Creswell launched the Brontë Brothers in August 1992 in order to provide a suitable vehicle for his own compositions. The band recorded their debut single, ‘A Winner Too’, in London’s Primrose Hill. The next single, ‘Live A Little More’, was a new song written by Tanita Tikaram, coupled with originals ‘Need This Lover Growing’ and ‘Stay (Don’t Walk Away)’. In 1993, they performed at Glastonbury Festival and Cambridge Folk Festival.
