Education; Charity The Foundation for Conductive Education, which is the overarching charity for the National Institute, was founded in 1986 to bring the science and skill of Conductive Education to the UK. It was developed in post-war Hungary by András Petö who believed people with motor disorders could use their bodies more effectively, seeing it not as a medical problem but as an educational challenge. The Foundation was the first organisation to train British CE specialists at the Petö Institute in Hungary, and then to set up educational facilities for children and adults outside of Hungary.
