Park studied at the Korea National University of Arts and at the Accademia del Teatro alla Scala in Milan, where he worked with singers such as Mirella Freni and Renato Bruson. His roles with La Scala, Milan, in this period included Bartolo (Le nozze di Figaro) and Doctor (Macbeth). He was a member of Hamburg State Opera 2010–13, singing roles including Masetto (Don Giovanni), Sparafucile (Rigoletto), King of Egypt (Aida), Colline and Truffaldino (Ariadne auf Naxos). He joined Vienna State Opera at the start of the 2013/14 Season, where his roles have included Zuniga (Carmen), Colline, Billy Jackrabbit (La fanciulla del West), Don Basilio (Le nozze di Figaro) and Truffaldino (Ariadne auf Naxos). Park has won numerous prestigious prizes in his career, including the Birgit Nilsson Prize at Operalia, first prize at the International Tchaikovsky Competition and second and Audience Prizes at the Neue Stimmen international singing competition (all 2011).
