Musician; Violin Son of guitarist and composer Alexander Sitkovetsky and pianist Olga Sitkovetsky. Great nephew of violinist Julian Sitkovetsky and pianist Bella Davidovich and nephew of violinist and conductor Dmitry Sitkovetsky. Alexander Sitkovetsky (born 1983) is a British violinist. Sitkovetsky was born in Moscow to a musical family; his father being guitarist and composer Alexander Sitkovetsky of the Autograph (Russian band) fame, mother Olga Sitkovetsky being a pianist, his great uncle and aunts being violinist Julian Sitkovetsky and pianist Bella Davidovich, and his uncle being violinist and conductor Dmitry Sitkovetsky. Musical Studies[edit]Aged eight, he appeared as a soloist in Montpellier, and he was subsequently invited to enroll at the Yehudi Menuhin School. He studied there with Natalia Boyarsky and Hu Kun. He has participated in master classes with Menuhin, Dmitry Sitkovetsky, Mauricio Fuks, Georgy Pauk, Maya Glezarova, Zvi Zeitlin, Abram Stern, and Maxim Vengerov. Sitkovetsky is still studying, under Pavel Vernikov in Vienna.
