People Open DS/UK/21421 Romain Vuillemin Quartet (fl 2015-) Romain Vuillemin Quartet fl 2015- Group (Male) The Romain Vuillemin Quartet:- With Guillaume Singer on violin, he’s worked a lot with Adrien Moignard, Seb Giniaux, and also the Gypsy School from the East of France since he is from Mulhouse. He also plays a lot with Yorgui Loeffler. Stephan Nguyen - rhythm guitar was a student of Serge Krief in Paris, he likes Django and the ‘old-school’ Tchavolo tunes, Romain Vuillemin also showed him the way to compliment the traditional ‘Django-way’. Edouard Pennes - great guitar player from the RP Quartet who now plays the double-bass in the Gypsy swing style. Romain – is also from the East of France, and it’s here in France where he started playing the Manouche style with some Gypsies in Dole. He came to study in England in 2007 and he started playing regular venues with an amateur Gypsy jazz band in Southampton during that year. In 2008 Ritary Gaguenetti (also from Dole) introduced him to Dennis Chang in Samois' Django festival. After jamming with him, Dennis hired Romain as his rythm player for 2008-2009, which him to play also 2 concerts with the great Stochelo Rosenberg.
