Since reaching the Final of the BBC Young Musician Competition in 2016, Ben has made his concerto debut at venues including the Berlin Philharmonie, KKL Lucerne, Barbican and the Royal Albert Hall, appearing as soloist with the BBC Symphony, Lucerne Symphony and Aurora Orchestras, among others. In 2018 Ben released his debut album with Willowhayne Records to critical acclaim, and was selected as BBC Music Magazine’s “Rising Star” and Gramophone Magazine’s “One to Watch”. This season Ben makes his BBC Proms debut with the BBC Concert Orchesta, gives recitals throughout the UK and further afield, and performs concertos by Pauer, Penderecki, Bowen, Telemann, Weber and Mozart. Chamber music highlights include Wigmore Hall with Julian Prégardien and Christoph Schnackertz, the Pierre Boulez Saal alongside Daniel Barenboim and Michael Barenboim and the Verbier Festival with Sergei Babayan. Ben collaborates regularly with musicians including Richard Uttley, Callum Smart, Denis Kozhukhin and Giuseppe Guarrera.
