Australian White Unknown Reba Rangan (10 December 1882-20 August 1969), the daughter of Joseph Alfred Rangan and Emily Rangan. After leaving school Reba became a church worker, teacher of music, conductor of the Camberwell Ladies choir and a singer in her own right. Residents of Melbourne raised funds so that from 1921-1923 Reba, accompanied by her mother, travelled around England to perform at concert venues in major towns and cities including London, where she sang at the Royal Albert Hall. Reba garnered praise from notable figures such as Sir Frederick Bridges, Sir Frederic Cowen and The Times newspaper concert reviewer. In 1923 Reba returned to Australia, due to the ill health of her mother. On her return to Australia, Reba commencd teaching music, which she carried on until ill health prevented her. Reba Rangan died on 20 August 1969 aged 87 years in Melbourne.
