In terms of Grand Slam success, Keothavong's best result so far came at the 2008 US Open, where she reached the third round. She beat Alexa Glatch in the first round[4] and followed this up with a victory over the No. 25 seed, Francesca Schiavone, a woman ranked 60 places above her.[5] She faced world No. 6, Elena Dementieva, in round three and was defeated.[6] Keothavong has also managed to reach the second round of Wimbledon on four occasions: in 2004, 2008, 2011 and 2012.
