She chose to switch to singing and study with Albert Visetti. Still a student in 1901, she sang at the Garden in Stanford's Much Ado About Nothing. During 1903-1904 at Albert Hall she sang with leading choral societies and appeared as Micaela in Carmen first with Moody-Manners in 1904.
