Irene studied cello in Madrid with Jose Miguel Gomez and at the Liceu Conservatory in Barcelona with Amparo Lacruz. In Spain she took part in many concerts as a soloist, chamber musician and orchestral player, being the leader of cello section in the Youth Orchestra of Madrid. She has performed in many important venues such National Auditorium of Madrid and Palau de la Musica of Barcelona. She was supported by "Comunidad de Madrid" scholarship to study in London where she moved in 2005. Irene is doing her fourth year Bachelor of Music at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama where she studied with Stefan Popov and currently with Leonid Gorokhov. In London she was involved in projects taking place in Wigmore Hall, St.Luke's and Barbican Hall with prestigious conductors Vasily Petrenko and Colin Davis. She continued her studies at Guildhall, London.
