In 1913 the London School of Dalcroze Eurhythmics was founded in London following the introduction by Emile Jaques Dalcroze of his system of Eurhythmics to Britain in 1910, making a huge impact on the music curriculum of the time. Out of this school the Dalcroze Society UK emerged two years later to provide a supporting organization for the school. By 1926 the Society had become an incorporated body and a voluntary organisation.
