Jesús León (born in Hermosillo, Sonora on April 12, 1976) is a Mexican operatic tenor. Acclaimed for his interpretation of the lyric tenor repertoire and the beauty and resonance of his high notes, he is at the forefront of the singers of his generation. On January 24, 2010, he received the prestigious Revelación Juvenil award from the Mexican government and was presented in recital in the Festival Alfonso Ortiz Tirado. Mr. Leon made his debut at Royal Albert Hall as a tenor soloist with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in March 2009, performing 7 concerts at the Classical Spectacular.
