John Glickman is an Australian violinist. Glickman studied in Australia and at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama under Max Rostal. As a soloist he has performed with many orchestras in the UK, Australia, South Africa, France, Spain, Germany and Switzerland. As a chamber musician he was leader of a string quartet, was violinist in a piano trio and violist of a string trio. Glickman was Senior Lecturer of violin and viola at the Faculty of Music in the University of Melbourne in Australia from 1957-70, and has taught at the Guildhall School since 1971.
